North Vancouver Invisalign Treatment

Are you self-conscious about your crooked teeth, but hesitant to undergo traditional braces treatment? Invisalign could be the perfect solution for you and your smile. This innovative orthodontic treatment offers a discreet and effective way to straighten your teeth, without the inconvenience and aesthetic drawbacks of traditional braces. At Blue Sky Dental Clinic in North Vancouver, our dentists offer Invisalign to eligible patients.

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a clear aligner system that uses a series of custom-made, virtually “invisible” aligners to gradually shift your teeth into the desired position. Each set of aligners is worn for approximately two weeks before being replaced with the next set in the series. Over time, the aligners gently move your teeth into the desired position, resulting in a straighter and more beautiful smile.

How Does Invisalign Work?

The process begins with a consultation with our dentists or dental assistants, who will evaluate your teeth and determine if Invisalign is a good option for you. If you are a good candidate for Invisalign, we will create a 3D model of your teeth with molds or advanced imaging technology. This model will be used to create a customized treatment plan, which includes the number of aligners you will need and how long you will need to wear them. This will differ for each patient and it’s important you meet with our Invisalign professionals to see what plan is best for you and your teeth.

Once your treatment plan is created, we will send it to a lab, where your custom aligners will be created. When your aligners are ready, you can come back to our office to pick up your first set of aligners and get started with your treatment. You will wear each set of aligners for approximately two weeks, and then switch to the next set in the series. This timeline may also differ, depending on our dentist’s recommendation for your treatment plan.

Throughout your treatment, you will visit our dentist every six to eight weeks to ensure that your teeth are moving as they should. Most patients complete their Invisalign treatment in 12 to 18 months, depending on the severity of their dental issues. Again, you may see results sooner rather than later. It’s important to be diligent with your treatment plan as you do not want to your teeth to revert back to how they were prior to the treatment.

Who Can Use Invisalign?

Invisalign is a great option for many patients, particularly those who are self-conscious about their appearance and don’t want to wear traditional braces. Invisalign can be used to treat a variety of orthodontic issues, including:

  • Crowded or crooked teeth
  • Gaps between teeth
  • Overbite
  • Underbite
  • Crossbite
  • Open bite

While Invisalign can be an effective option for many patients, it may not be the best choice for those with more severe orthodontic issues. Your dentist can help you determine if Invisalign is a good option for you. Both children and adults can use Invisalign to treat their teeth as an alternate to traditional braces.

How Much is Invisalign?

The cost of Invisalign can vary depending on the severity of your dental issues, the length of your treatment, and where you live. In general, Invisalign treatment can cost anywhere from $3,000 to $7,000, although the cost may be higher or lower depending on your specific circumstances. It’s important to talk to our dentist and Invisalign professionals about the cost of Invisalign, as well as your insurance coverage and financing options.

How Long Does Invisalign Take to Work?

The length of your Invisalign treatment will depend on the severity of your dental issues and the length of your treatment plan. Most patients complete their treatment in 12 to 18 months, although some patients may require longer treatment times. We can give you a more accurate estimate of how long your treatment will take based on your specific circumstances.
